With their commitment to quality and fresh baked goods, Pepperidge Farm built a network of independent distribution partners who made sure the store shelves were full of bakery items every day. DSD became the way we do business when we chose to expand it into Pepperidge Farm crackers and cookies.
The History of Pepperidge Farm starts with its founder, Margaret Rudkin. As the parent of a son who suffered from severe allergies, Margaret wanted to bake a loaf of bread for him that was both nutritious and delicious. That was in 1929. Since that very first loaf of bread, Pepperidge Farm has grown significantly, with brands like Goldfish crackers, Milano cookies, numerous breads, rolls, puff pastry, and cakes that wow and delight consumers everywhere.
